本周早些时候，钢人名宿Jerome Bettis在他的体育画报专栏中对老东家进行了一些直白的评价，相对于此前他在《钢人文摘》发表的言论，这次的话显然温和了许多。。
当地时间周四，钢人主帅Mike Tomlin在ESPN的一档名叫《Pardon The Interruption》的节目中回应了大巴的评论。
"I don't worry about criticism,"
"If those are his observations then I accept those. He's paid to entertain and I'll let him do what he does. If Bussy wants to help us with those issues, let him know I have a helmet and a locker space available."
（大意：我不担心BUS的批评，他的职责是娱乐大众……如果他想帮助我们解决问题，OK我们虚位以待）
Tomlin微笑着回应了大巴的评论，但可能这不仅仅是一个玩笑
"Bussy" is a large man, and he probably could do a better job of blocking for Ben Roethlisberger than either Max Starks or Willie Colon, the two starting tackles.
